In Leiden you can visit the Pilgrim Fathers Museum.
This very small museum aims to keep alive the memory of the Pilgrim Fathers, who fled England and lived in Leiden (1606-1620), before going to America. The museum is housed in one of the oldest existing dwellings (ca.1420) of Leiden and furnished with objects from the time of the Pilgrims. Illustrations and documents complete the collection to give an idea how these people lived.
Historic Delfshaven (Rotterdam)
It was from here that the Pilgrims set sail for America in 1620. You can visit the Pilgrim Fathers' Church, where the Pilgrims met before sailing for the New World.
George C. Marshall Museum (Zwijndrecht, near Rotterdam)
The museum has a large collection of are predominantly military transport and logistic vehicles as used by the American forces during the Second World War and shortly afterwards.

Impressive burial area of more than 8000 U.S soldiers who died in the Second World War. President George W. Bush visited the Cemetery on May 8, 2005.

The Roosevelt Study Center is a primary research institute, conference center and library on twentieth century American history. It features a permanent exposition on the life and times of the three Roosevelts.The Roosevelt family originates from the Province of Zeeland.
Het West-Indisch Huis (The West-India House) (Amsterdam)
The House owes its name to the period between 1623 and 1647, when the ‘Heren Negentien’ wielded the sceptre over the Dutch West-India Trading Company (West-Indische Compagnie) from here. In one of the rooms, the Compagnieszaal, the decision was made to build the fort ‘Nieuw Amsterdam’ on the island Manhattan. Peter Stuyvesant, whose statue nowadays ornaments the courtyard of Het West-Indisch Huis, was appointed to governor-general of the fortress New Amsterdam, that through the ages developed to become the metropolis New York.
Wings of Liberation Museum Bevrijdende Vleugels (Best, near Eindhoven)
The liberation of the South of the Netherlands during World War II is the central issue in the Wings of Liberation museum. Documents, photographs, audio-visuals, memorabilia etc., illustrate the backgrounds and causes which led to the outbreak of the war. The occupation, suppression and finally the liberation of the Netherlands are covered extensively. In a number of halls different important events from the Second World War are visualized by means of dioramas. The museum is situated in the area where, on the 17th of September 1944, airborne units of the 101st US Airborne Division landed as part of the Operation "Market Garden".
