Ambassador Fay Hartog Levin welcomed a U.S. Congressional delegation to the Netherlands.

Richard Shelby, Alabama’s senior U.S. Senator and ranking member of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, led the visit to examine economic issues in key European financial centers.

During their time in the Netherlands, Senator Shelby and Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) met with State Secretary of Finance Mr. Jan Kees de Jager, Executive Director of the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) Mr. Henk Brouwer, and President of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Mr. Paul Vlaanderen.

In addition, the Senators met with senior executives of important Dutch financial institutions with large U.S. subsidiaries.
