U.S. Consul General Julie A. Ruterbories opens first American Beer bar in Amsterdam

- Consul General Julie A. Ruterbories officially opened the first U.S. Beer Bar in Europe, the Beer Temple in Amsterdam, by reveiling an enormous device for tapping beer. Over 50 different American beer varieties are offered, either bottled or draft. 

Consul General Ruterbories: “I am delighted to participate in the opening of the American Beer Bar in Amsterdam, which highlights the continuing strong traditions of entrepreneurship and trade between the United States and the Netherlands.”

This successful event was organized by leading beer brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev in close cooperation with Europe’s leading importer of U.S. craft beers Bier&Co and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
