The Ambassador hosted an evening of reading and discussion with Thomas Buergenthal, U.S. judge at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, and author of A Lucky Child: A Memoir of Surviving Auschwitz as a Young Boy

He was one of the youngest survivors of the Auschwitz and Sachsenhausen concentration camps. 

Russell Shorto, director of the John Adams Institute and author of The Island at the Center of the World and Descartes' Bones, moderated.
