November 24 - On Thanksgiving day, Chargé d’Affaires Edwin Nolan, in the company of , Mr George B. DeLano, representative of the Delano Kindred,  Mr. Robert E. Burt, Governor of the Florida State Society of Mayflower Descendants, unveiled a plaque on the ruins of the historic Vrouwekerk, marking the place where Pilgrims prayed and worshipped before sailing to England on their way to America.

Chargé Nolan spoke of the close bond between the Netherlands and the United States, and their shared history highlighted by the plaque and the ceremony.
