Training Opportunities
International Military Student (IMS) training opportunities in the United States
The training section within the Office of Defense Cooperation is the point of contact for United States sponsored Foreign Military Sales (FMS) training utilized by personnel within each of the Dutch military services. Training requirements are passed to ODC via a designated training point of contact within each Dutch military service.
Student selection process
- Dutch service provides ITO information using ODC format to training manager.
- Training manager prepares checklist and student folder initiated.
- Student is considered screened if granted a security clearance.
- Once medical certificate (ODC format) received, ITO package (ITO's pre-departure briefing, course information, post-schooling evaluation) sent to student.
- Student provides arrival information that is sent to the US Military Department , International Military Student (IMSO) at each installation and the Dutch Embassy.
